Akshay Punwatkar is Director and Principal Data Scientist at Octus, where he leads the engineering of production AI across the company’s credit data platform. He specializes in agentic workflows, enterprise RAG systems, and large-scale document processing pipelines powering flagship products like Deal Term Analytics. He holds a Master’s in Interdisciplinary Data Science from Duke University.
