HMP Global Exploring Sale via Solomon Partners
Susquehanna Growth Equity-backed HMP Global is running an auction process with Solomon Partners, according to sources.
The company generates roughly $75 million of EBITDA, the sources said.
Malvern, Penn.-based HMP produces medical conferences and provides continuing education and market insights to pharmaceutical and medical device companies. The company organizes more than 450 events annually, according to its website.
HMP has been a long-term hold for SGE, which originally invested in the business back in 2008, according to the sponsor’s website.
The company expanded its portfolio in 2025 through the acquisitions of Masterclasses in Dermatology, Psychiatry Redefined and Music City SCALE.
According to Octus’ BDC Database, the company’s subsidiary HMP Omnimedia has a first lien term loan priced at SOFR+525 bps that matures in July 2032. As of June 30, Sixth Street Lending Partners and Sixth Street Specialty Lending Inc. held a portion of the facility.
Senior direct lending facilities to back M&A in the healthcare sector widened to an average of about SOFR+509.4 bps in the second quarter of 2026 from about SOFR+492.2 bps in the first quarter, according to Octus’ Private Credit Dashboard.
Ongoing auctions in the sector include the Jefferies-led sale process for medical communications services provider Health and Wellness Partners, or HWP. Octus reported earlier this week that the process had reached the second round. The company generates roughly $25 million in EBITDA, as reported.
Elsewhere, Arlington Capital Partners is preparing to launch a sale process for contract research organization Everest Clinical Research in the fourth quarter, according to a Sept. 16 Octus report. Jefferies is acting as sell-side advisor to Everest, which will be marketed off close to $50 million in EBITDA, as reported.
Solomon Partners declined to comment. HMP and Susquehanna Growth Equity did not respond to requests for comment.
