Kent Collier
Founder & CEO
Kent set out with a visionary goal: to transform how the world understands and leverages credit data. As the founder and driving force behind Octus, he combines deep expertise with a forward-thinking approach, delivering solutions that empower clients in complex financial markets. His experience as a research analyst at firms like Millennium Partners, Catalyst Investment Management, Assurant Asset Management, and Babson Capital refined his expertise in high-yield, distressed debt, and special situations. As a passionate innovator in data science and generative AI, Kent has led Octus to the forefront of these cutting-edge technologies. This forward-thinking vision keeps Octus at the forefront of innovation, continuously challenging the status quo and redefining what’s possible in the world of credit intelligence.
Beyond Octus, Kent’s influence extends into academia, where he inspires the next generation of financial leaders as a guest lecturer at institutions like the University of Virginia, the Wharton School, and Columbia University. A passionate golfer and lover of music, Kent finds creativity in every facet of life. He lives in Washington, D.C., where he balances his role as a leader in financial innovation with the most important job of all—being a father to his two children.
Tejs Broberg
Global Head of Data
Tejs drives Octus’ data strategy with a singular focus: delivering the most innovative insights in the credit market. A former Olympian and the founder of LendAmend and FinDox—acquired by Octus in 2022—Tejs brings an entrepreneurial spirit and competitive edge to everything he does. His experience as a credit investor at Levine Leichtman Capital Partners, Columbia Management and Foothill Capital Alternative Investments gives him the deep industry knowledge that informs his focus on data solutions and workflows that matter to our clients. At Octus, Tejs constantly pushes the boundaries of what data can do, ensuring the company stays ahead of industry standards and delivers exactly what subscribers need to stay competitive.
Outside of work, Tejs calls Manhattan Beach home where he enjoys tennis, skiing, and traveling to see friends and family in Denmark. A father of three, he’s passionate about supporting up-and-coming entrepreneurs, catching Clippers games, attending concerts, and enjoying LA nightlife.
John Erban
Chief People Officer
John is focused on one thing: building a culture where people thrive. As Chief People Officer, he leads global talent strategy at Octus, ensuring the company attracts and develops top talent to drive growth, innovation and long-term competitive advantage. Guided by the belief that “culture eats strategy for breakfast,” John is preparing Octus for a culture that grows at scale. He oversees talent acquisition, HR business partnership, talent management, total rewards and “hire-to-retire” people operations globally. With a diverse background in global HR and business leadership, John has held key roles at high-growth professional services and technology companies. He holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Harvard University.
Outside of work, John is a trained opera singer, avid foodie and restaurant-goer, skin-care fanatic, and die-hard New Yorker. He and his husband (also John) are hopelessly devoted to their Yorkshire Terrier (Charlotte).
Sarah Gefter
Global Head of Product Strategy
Sarah leads product strategy at Octus with a sharp focus on driving innovation and aligning strategic initiatives across all business lines. As the first analyst member of the Trifecta, she brought leadership and experience from her career in investment banking at Lehman Brothers and Barclays, where she worked across restructuring and leveraged finance. Her vision shapes the expert-driven approach that ensures consistent value for clients across the credit landscape. With a bachelor’s degree in history of art and architecture from Harvard University, Sarah’s unique perspective drives the success of both the product portfolio and its market positioning.
Outside of work, Sarah is an art enthusiast living in Colorado, she’s also an avid hiker and skier, embracing the outdoors whenever possible.
Megan Jones
General Counsel
Megan leads legal and compliance at Octus, ensuring the company operates with integrity, agility, and strategic foresight. As General Counsel, she oversees corporate governance, M&A, corporate finance, data privacy, intellectual property, and regulatory strategy, enabling Octus to scale confidently in a fast-moving market.
The child of two artists, Megan developed an early appreciation for protecting creativity and navigating complex transactions. She studied political science at Bucknell University as a Ted Ammon Scholar, which reinforced her passion for IP, licensing, and M&A law. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from New York Law School before building a career in financial services law. Before Octus, she was Deputy General Counsel & Corporate Secretary at FactSet (NYSE: FDS) and later served as Interim Chief Legal Officer, guiding the company through key transitions. Previously, as General Counsel at BISAM Group, she played a pivotal role in its acquisition by FactSet, expanding her expertise in financial technology and regulatory frameworks.
A Board Member of the ACC NYC Chapter, Megan believes legal strategy should be a business driver, not just risk mitigation.
Beyond Octus, she is a former college swimmer, open water race competitor, and avid scuba diver. She calls New York City home, where she proves that the strongest leaders, like the strongest swimmers, thrive in deep waters.
Lynda Logan
Chief Revenue Officer
Lynda is focused on driving sustainable revenue growth to ensure Octus is recognized as a global market leader in the Credit space. As Chief Revenue Officer, she leads the team worldwide to deliver results. With a previous tenure at Wood Mackenzie, Lynda knows how to scale a commercial organization for success. She also serves as President and Chair of the Board for the American Foundation for National Museums Scotland. A qualified ski instructor, Lynda is a lover of the outdoors. She holds an MA from the University of Edinburgh.
Sreekanth Mallikarjun
Chief Scientist & Head of AI Innovation
Sree leads AI innovation at Octus, driving breakthroughs in generative AI, machine learning, natural language processing, and statistics. His work transforms how the vast credit datasets at Octus are accessed, delivering unprecedented speed and accuracy to both employees and subscribers. With a doctorate in technology and innovation, Sree’s expertise elevates Octus’ data capabilities. As an adjunct professor at the University of Virginia School of Data Science and affiliated NLP expert for CFA Institute, he continues to shape the future of AI while ensuring Octus remains at the forefront of financial intelligence.
In his free time, Sree has already explored 37 of the 65 U.S. National Parks and is ambitiously working toward his goal of visiting them all. Sree also serves as a Digital Advisory Board member for one of the Permira’s portfolio companies.
Mario Oliviero
Global Head of Editorial
Mario leads the global editorial team at Octus with a clear vision: to provide unmatched insight and analysis in the credit industry. As the head of the renowned Trifecta, Mario manages a team of expert financial analysts, lawyers, and journalists who break the biggest stories and deliver in-depth analysis that drives key insights and decision-making for Octus’ subscribers. With deep journalistic leadership experience at Debtwire and Bloomberg, Mario’s knowledge of the global credit landscape ensures Octus stays ahead in the content game. He holds a master’s degree from the London School of Economics and a bachelor’s degree from LUISS Guido Carli University.
When he’s not immersed in editorial leadership, Mario enjoys escaping into the worlds of sci-fi and dystopian novels, embracing beach life, scuba diving, and spending time with his family. Whether he’s riding his children on a red cargo bike or cooking for dinner parties with his wife, Sandra, he brings the same focus and passion to his personal pursuits as he does to his work at Octus.
Vishal Saxena
Chief Technology Officer
Vishal drives the global technology strategy at Octus with one goal: empowering teams to innovate at the highest level. With extensive software design and development experience from Canoe, Blackstone and S&P Capital IQ, Vishal is recognized for building high-performing, cross-functional teams that leverage innovative technology to transform the credit industry. He leads both engineering and technical product management teams, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge to stay ahead in a fast-evolving market. Armed with degrees from IIT Delhi, Georgia Tech and MIT, Vishal’s leadership keeps Octus at the forefront of innovation.
In his spare time, Vishal enjoys spending time with his family, traveling to new places, watching movies, and playing chess with Magnus. Additionally, Vishal serves on the board of “Reach the World,” a nonprofit organization where he applies his professional expertise to help scale their technology platforms.
Steve Vigliotti
Chief Financial Officer
Steve Vigliotti drives financial strategy with one clear goal: building sustainable value. With over 20 years of experience as CFO for publicly traded and private equity-backed companies, Steve brings deep expertise in all aspects of financial management, operations, and corporate strategy. In addition to overseeing financials, Steve also manages people and facilities operations, ensuring that every part of the company runs smoothly. Before joining Octus, he served as CFO and Chief Administrative Officer at ITG, where he transformed strategic insights into operational success. A Certified Public Accountant, Steve holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from Hofstra University.
When not leading financial initiatives, Steve enjoys spending time with his family and friends on Long Island. Whether it’s playing softball, hitting the golf course, or cheering on the Mets, he finds balance through his love of sports, exercising, and even a little karaoke.
Jeff Winter
Chief Marketing Officer
Jeff is responsible for the marketing function at Octus, including the transformation of the Octus brand that defines its leadership in the credit intelligence market. As CMO, Jeff is also responsible for the entire marketing and communications function from growth marketing, product marketing, and external communications. As a 3-time CMO, Jeff brings a wealth of experience, steering data-driven marketing strategies that accelerate growth and innovation. His work spans collaboration with executive leadership, marketing, and technical, and product teams, ensuring Octus’ leadership position. Known for his ability to build world-class marketing talent and platforms, Jeff has earned multiple industry accolades for his work on Account Based Marketing, User Communication, and New Product Introduction. Backed by a BA in English Literature from Skidmore College and an MBA from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University, Jeff brings passion, marketing expertise, and a results -driven approach to Octus.
Outside of work, Jeff enjoys life in Fairfield, CT, with his wife and two teenage boys. Jeff is a music lover, avid golfer and frequent traveler.
