Mark Fischer is Director of Credit Research at Octus, where he leads the financial analysis team covering high yield, broadly syndicated loans, and private credit, across performing, distressed, and middle market research. His team covers 170+ BDCs and other private credit fund managers. He was the original host of Octus Radio, the network’s first show. Before Octus, Mark was Head of Research at Pericles Capital Advisors, covering special situations, sovereign, and infrastructure advisory and investments. He spent eight years before that as Senior Research Analyst at Ahab Capital Management, a New York investment manager focused on distressed and special situation investments. Earlier in his career he was an analyst at GSC Capital and an Equity Research Associate at Sanford C. Bernstein. Mark holds an MBA in Accounting and Finance from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and a B.S. in Business Administration and Management from Cornell University. Outside work, he lives on Long Island with his wife, three kids, and a dog.
