Omar Vaishnavi is Head of Americas Content at Octus, where he oversees financial, legal, and reporting content and commercial activity across the Americas region.
Before Octus, Omar spent a decade at BlueMountain Capital, where he was Head of Fundamental Credit, running global credit strategies including Distressed and Special Situations and Long Short Credit. He was a Partner, Portfolio Manager, and member of the firm’s Investment Committee. He joined BlueMountain in 2009 from Silver Point Capital, where he was a Analyst focused on healthcare investments. He began his career as an investment banking analyst at UBS. From 2011 to 2018, Omar served on the board of Angiotech Pharmaceuticals and several other boards.
Omar earned a B.S. in Economics, with a concentration in Finance and Statistics, from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
